HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL
For Lymm High’s first upper school musical, students and staff worked extremely hard to deliver Disney’s High School Musical.
The production ran from Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th November.
“Our students have excelled themselves again”, said Mrs Richards. As well as confidently appearing on stage, they were are also leading the backstage running of the show. “You’re a talented bunch of young people”, she said. “It has been wonderful watching you all flourish during the process of creating this production.”
Despite the corny nature of the show, High School Musical does have a very positive and relevant message about being brave enough to stand up for who you are and to fulfil your own dreams and aspirations. It also has a very catchy score, great choreography and lots of basketballs!
Billy Clarke, who plays Ryan, said: “I love the sense of community that you gain from this musical. I want to say a huge thank you to the teachers, it’s been another incredible production to be a part of”.
All the hard work and effort paid off. The audiences
certainly enjoyed watching the performances. Very well done to all staff and students involved.
